Dayton Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated

The role of commitment in the success of any organization is multifaceted, however commitment is what transforms a promise into reality. It is the words that speak boldly of your intentions and the actions that speak louder than words. My name is Bonnie Smith and I am President of the Dayton Alumnae Chapter. As a sisterhood founded on Christian principles we are committed to public service through the implementation of programming that will make our community a better place. We will embrace those skills and talents that define who we are and use them in the service to others. As we endeavor to show our "WHY", we will work tirelessly in the service to others. We are in this together and we have the power to change the face of our community.

Chartered in 1936, the Dayton Alumnae Chapter has continually provided community outreach, encouraged social action, provided youth programming, and hosted signature events. We have provided more than $1,000,000 in college scholarships to area youth as they pursue their career goals of independence and self-sufficiency. This is a clear demonstration of our impact in the community as we raise the bar for others to follow.
